Ocean Alexander 32E

The all-new 32-meter Explorer is a stunning combination of luxury, open space, and waterfront views most can only crave.

It’s hard not to be impressed by the many features of the OA32e.  Everything about her speaks of a luxurious yacht designed to pamper her owners and their guests.  She features five comfortable staterooms, all with ensuites, and the master stateroom is fully forward on the main deck.

Exterior Entertaining.

Entertainment starts with a beautiful beach club, now a requisite feature among the yachting elite, which overlooks the expansive aft deck.  This teak-covered area boasts not only huge real estate, expandable thanks to the drop down side balconies, but the ability to launch any number of water toys from either the portside mounted crane or the aft hydraulic platform.  These toys, for lack of a better term, will thus allow “exploring” of the local areas the yacht happens to be visiting.  Hence the moniker, Explorer Series, of which the 32e finder herself at the top of.

From there, curving stairs to both sides lead to the raised aft deck.  Here there are minimalist, yet tasteful,  furnishings that allow ample seating while at the same time, do nothing to impinge on the massive deck space for gathering.  A window to the beach club, and the deck beyond, ensures a seamless connection to the two entertainment zones.

Salon and Dining

Moving into the salon through an electrically actuated sliding glass door feels like entering another world of luxury.  There’s so much light coming in through the floor to ceiling side windows that the line between inside and outside becomes blurred.  The salon is aft and the dining area is just ahead, with no bulkheads dividing the two.  This keeps the open space layout that Evan K Marshall and his design team strived for.

On Deck Master

Oneward past the galley and fully forward, we come to the master stateroom.  As expected, it’s full beam with massive hullside windows to port and starboard.  A small “living room” with chairs and coffee table are to one side making this equal parts relaxing and lounging.  The master head is just forward and dual sinks are highlighted with a full length heated and lighted mirror.  Under a forward window is a jacuzzi tub.  The deck is also heated.

Skylounge

Up one level and we come to the aptly named Skylounge.  Probably destined to be the most popular of the gathering areas, it comes with ample seating and a fully equipped wet-bar with three stools.  The surrounding glass allows for nearly 360-degree views.  Move through another large sliding glass door to the aft deck and there’s a grilling station, more seating, and a four-person Jacuzzi flanked by two sunbeds, with full walk-around capability.  More sun-worshiping can be had at the lounges at the forward end of this deck.

It’s not lost on us that there are day-heads on both the main deck and skylounge deck.  Four more staterooms are on the lower deck, each with an ensuite.

Aside from the opulent luxury seen throughout the 32e, the yacht is designed with multiple examples of clever uses of space.  For example, there are several hidden storage lockers throughout the yacht, and they are concealed behind upholstered doors that blend seamlessly into the upholstered bulkheads.  Under the stairs to the guest staterooms, there’s a clever utility room with laundry and additional refrigeration.  Outside this room there’s a small refrigerator with an icemaker for those late night desires for cold water.  It’s just a thoughtfully laid out yacht from stem to stern, and one made for spending long periods of time on as she explores the far reaches of the globe.  Explorer indeed… that’s the 32e from Ocean Alexander.
